[Edgeworth pauses in thought for a moment. He could sing just anything in a foreign language and not be laughed at, but he has to take some steps to preserve his dignity here -- he can't just break into a rendition of the Steel Samurai theme song without that becoming the topic of conversation, for example. He doesn't much care for most popular music, either... or really, much with lyrics to begin with.]

[...Well, at least it's just as good? Certainly better than he managed at school by a long shot, and still on-key and backed by both the voice puberty blessed him with and long hours speaking loud and clear in court. He doesn't sing the entire thing, though, just a couple of verses to get the point across.]

W-well, I generally prefer classical music rather than anything sung in English! Aside from which it does constitute proof, does it not?!

...In any case, to return to the original point, it would be for the best if you focused your efforts on those endeavors in which you've actually displayed talent.

[laurice]

[Larry sighs, turning back to his paper and erasing the crooked line he made when he was surprised by Edgeworth's appearance.]

Y-You're just jealous that I'm gonna take the world by storm when I discover that I've got a hidden talent...

Why would I be jealous about that when I'm so many years ahead of you in pursuing my own calling?

[laurice]

Man, Edgey, you really know how to kick a guy when he's down...!

Are you so far down as you assert? While singing may not be where your talents lie, other evidence here shows that you aren't a completely hopeless cause.

[laurice]

[He gasps, overly dramatic as always.]

Are you just saying that to make me feel better?

[truthsnomiracle]

[Edgeworth takes a step back, still smirking, and shrugs.]

Larry, have you ever known me to be the sort to distort the truth for the sake of another's feelings?

[laurice]

[It's hard to tell if he can't think of one and is still straining his mind, or if he's now just messing around.]
