1. Boarded: Your ship has been boarded, and as captain you've been captured! Better hope the other captain gives quarter. Alternatively, it's a nice warm day for a swim. That plank was made for walking.

2. Victory: You've captured another ship! You knew those extra cannons would come in handy. And let's hope they've got lots of swag! Where's the captain? Are you the decent sort, or are you going to rub their face in it for a bit?

3. Swab the decks: You're a cabin boy! It's a good thing you don't mind doing all the dirty work, right? Anyway, the captain's calling; better see what they want.

4. Marooned: For a bit there you'd thought you were in Davy's Jones' grip, but somehow you've washed ashore with the driftwood. As you stare dazedly up from the surf, you have questions. Where are you? And who's that already on the shore?

5. Buried Treasure: Sink me! You've really found the mother lode. . . but you're not the only one. Who gets to take the treasure back to their ship? Better make sure it's you.

6. Rum: Rum, everywhere.

7. Swordfight: It's that person you can't stand! And they've taken your most valuable possession, that one of a kind thing you just can't live without! Better get that trinket back before it and your nemesis are gone over the side forever. Let's hear some swashes buckling.

8. Mutiny: The tack is full of maggots and this drinking water may as well have come from the gutter. There's one person to blame for this, and you're here to make especially sure that they pay for it. The captain does always seem to take the best treasure before everybody else.

9. Kidnapping: Don't they look rather peaceful, innocent even, sleeping so soundly there with their fancy nightclothes and pillows. Brings a tear to your eye, it does. Better take them aboard and send for a ransom.

10. Take a Gamble: Gotta spend your loot somehow, but it must have been the rum that had you bettin' everything at once! You've lost to your hornswagglin' shipmate; what did you lose, and what will they make you do now?

11. Under the Sea: You are now a Mermaid/Merman! That sailor over there sure looks appealing; let's see if you can lure them in with your charms. Don't forget that they can't breathe under water! You do seem to always forget, don't you. . .

12. The Doldrums: Can you say cabin fever? The sails haven't moved in weeks. You're about seeing if your mates can relieve this awful boredom.

13. Wild card. What do. Your choice. It doesn't even have to be here - wait why am I even explaining this to you YOU KNOW HOW THIS WORKS.

[The name of the ship rang a bell in her, and that brought a shiver up her spine. It was one of the pirate ship that her brother had been doing his best to capture and bring the captain in alive. The captain's name alone was enough to send fear through even the staunchest of men, and Lili too wasn't unaffected by it. Her chest tightened, breath coming short as she trembled lightly.]

All r-right...

[She tried to relax, trusting that the man gave his word and wouldn't harm her. At the mention of the ransom money, though, she started to shake her head.] We do not have a lot, and it is pointless. Even if I am released, he will still search for you.

[She wasn't taunting the man, nor his captain. Instead merely stating the truth. There was no denying that her brother will do his best to gather the required amount, but it crushed her heart to know that her own carelessness (whether accidental or not) had brought such fate upon them.]

Antonio's one of the most feared pirates on the damned seas. Hell will freeze over before anyone can capture him, especially your brother. No matter how hard he searches. All that matters is he hands over the money and that's that.

[ Lovino shakes his head and he moves to kneel on the edge of the bed, taking a second to think about something for a moment before continuing, and when he speaks again his voice is a touch softer than before; almost hesitant. ]

Look. Your brother. He... searches for a lot of us. Tell me. Do you know if there's been any word at all on the location of the ship called 'The Black Eagle'?

[ It... was the ship his brother'd been taken on; he could remember that much. He was determined to take it back from those German bastards. Both that silver-haired one and the blond, and he wasn't going to rest until his brother was back on this ship, damn it. ]

[The man's harsh tones made Lili flinch away further into the bed, her back coming very close to the wooden wall. Vash often tried to keep the details of his duty away from her, but she knew about the pirate ships that he had his eyes on. In truth, even if her brother wasn't able to capture the 'Conquistador', there were other people on the look out, although Vash was undeniably one of the best in his job.

The mention of another ship was nearly lost to Lili, but she willed herself to calm down enough to think clearly. It wouldn't do her any good to panic and lose the chance to be of use to the man. She had heard tales of those kidnapped being tossed overboard when their demands weren't met; her brother will never be able to find her again.]

'The Black Eagle'?

[She fell quiet for a bit, her mind whirling and searching for information on the ship, any details that will help in her cause. Indeed, there was a flicker in her memory of a mention of that large ship. Her mouth opened to speak, hesitating for a moment to wonder about the worst consequences she could imagine. Taking in a shaky breath, she at last told the man what she knew of.]

The last location is the Caribbean. I know nothing else.

[ There's a spark of hope there and it's better than nothing. It makes him feel almost... happy knowing that now. As a reward for that, he reaches forward carefully and undoes the blindfold, pulling it away from her eyes for now. She can see now that he really is not much older than her; a young man of 22 with olive-tanned skin and reddish-brown hair, startling green eyes holding not quite the fierce look in them as one would expect from someone who was a pirate. ]

mm. It isn't much, but I... I appreciate it.

I'm looking for my brother so that info... I needed it.

[ It's slight; but he can be civil compared to the other pirates on the ship. At least where young women were involved. ] You don't have to be so afraid of me. I... won't hurt you.

[Lili held her breath as she felt fingers at the back of her head, and then she was blinking against the light, her sight a little blur from the long length of being blindfolded. There was a look of surprise in her eyes to put a face to the voice she had heard the entire time. The earnest look in his green eyes caused a pang in her, its colour reminding her acutely of her brother.]

Your brother...? [So the rumours that she had caught wind of were true. There were stories shared amongst the sailors about the German brothers who had a member in their ranks, whether by force or voluntarily was debatable. She knew it then that this man must have been searching for his sibling for close to five months already, and her heart went out to him, in addition to the kindness he had shown her.]

Thank you, kind sir. I wish I had more information for you.

[ Lovino nodded at the question, a slight, minute smile showing on his lips for a moment. Yes his brother was annoying but damn it, he was still family and he wanted to get Feli back and five months already had been too long of searching but he refused to give up.

The words from her had helped more than anything else.

However at her thanks, he blushed a little and glanced away shortly; not being rude really, but more that she was so kind and he felt bad having to do this. Keep her here like this but at the least he could keep her company when he could until negotiations had been discussed. ]

I-It's alright. This helps. We can try and discern their location now from the information you've given me.

[ A pause. This kinder side of him was really something anyone really saw, being quite rare for when they did occasionally happen, normally being quite foul-mouthed and moody to every other person on board. ]

I... If anything I should be thanking you for being so cooperative.

[[ooc: 'Stalk' isn't the best way to describe. But yes, I do enjoy reading either of your threads. XD]]

[That brief smile and flush of colour didn't go unnoticed to Lili, who couldn't help but be relieved to see another side of the sailor. She trust this man wouldn't harm her, and hadn't meant to kidnap her in the first place. It was still a crime, but she knew there was no ill intent behind that, and reminds herself to put in a good word for this man if the need ever arose.]

There is nothing much to thank me for, but I am glad the information is of help to you. [It was instilled in her to be the peace maker whenever there were arguments or conflicts, preferring to settle matters peacefully and cordially.]

This might be asking too much of you, but... could you loosen the bonds? I... I promise not to run. [Her tone was pleading, and her eyes were lightly glazed with unshed tears.]

[ Blinking a bit at the request, Lovino spared a glance toward the door and then back to Lili. That look in her eyes was just about killing him. He couldn't resist that, damn it. With that in mind, he nodded and shifted so he could reach back and behind her.

In a matter of a few short moments, he'd managed to loosen her bonds just enough so they'd be comfortable before pulling back. ]

There. Is that a bit more comfortable now?

[Lili kept really still as the man loosened her bonds, and once it was gone, she flexed her fingers before slowly pushing herself up into a more proper seating position. She sighed with relief as she nodded and smiled a bit at him.]

Much better, ja. [She brought her hands forward for inspection. Her wrists were slightly sore, the binds having left its red thin marks that were sure to stay visible for a few days.] Again, I thank you, Herr... Ah, if I may know your name?

[ ooc: hee ♥ i'm glad~! I just hope i'm doing him justice~ /o/ ]

[ Lovino couldn't help but smile a little when she responded, though it dissipated upon seeing the marks left on her smaller wrists. Another reason he didn't like doing things like this. He just had to keep telling himself that as long as things went well, then those marks would be the only signs she'd ever been captured.

She really was too kind of a girl, wondering how on earth she could be related to that cruel Vash bastard. They seemed nothing alike from what he'd seen so far. ]

Lovino. L-Lovino Vargas.

I'm... sorry we had to meet like this, though.

[Even if the marks were gone, its imprint was forever etched in her memory, though Lili didn't blame the young sailor for what he had to do. If anything, she felt sorry for what the man had to go through all those months searching for his brother.

Humans were a strange lot, really. Vash may be feared and hated by many, both colleagues or foe, but Lili saw a side in her brother rarely shown to others. She knew too that he was only doing his duty so diligently, regardless of what others thought of him, all for the sake and protection of her and the tiny town they lived in.]

That is all right, Lovino. May I call you that? I am Lili Vogel, though I suspect you knew that already.

At least now, I will have a story to tell. Although I had imagined myself kidnapped by a prince. [And there she went, giggling at an inappropriate time and place.]

[ Nodding softly in response to her question, it was the mention of imagining she'd been kidnapped by a prince that had his cheeks flushing a bit with color. ] Yeah? Well you're certainly pretty enough to be s-so it makes sense...

[ He couldn't help it. Lovino just figured he'd compliment her for what it was worth, his natural flirtatious side coming through with that as well. ]

[Much like how a smile could change one's entire demeanour, the light flush on Lovino's cheek almost felt like opening a treasure trove, revealing expressions usually unseen by others. Lili couldn't help but grin a little at his reaction, though when he pointed out about her looks, it was her turn to colour. Thus, she was a little at a lost for words, cupping her heated cheeks with her hands.]

...r-really? I mean, there are other much prettier girls.

[Especially the ones with slim figures, and a cleavage that was the envy of everyone. That very thought had Lili being even more embarrassed with herself, pulling her knees up toward her rather small chest area, almost in hiding.]

[ Lovino offered a simple nod of his head and he reached out to carefully brush some of her blond hair behind one ear in quite the gentle motion as he shook his head. Where it regarded girls, he believed they were all beautiful in their own way and should be treated as such. If a young woman was treated right, they could shine brighter than any gold from any treasure he could ever hope to find. ]

That's not true.

You're quite lovely. Not all girls need to have that ideal figure to be seen as being 'pretty'. You've got a beautiful smile and the way your hair frames your face adds to your own beauty along with the unique shade of your eyes and how your body is slim and suits you entirely in every way.

If I had to put it in such a way, you're beautiful enough to be a princess.

[ Where it regarded girls, Lovino was definitely the most honest. Wanting her to believe she really was as pretty as he thought she was, hoping he got his point across with his words. ]

[Lili's first instinct when Lovino reached out to her was to close her eyes on reflex, only to peer out at him when she felt the gentle brush of his fingers on her hair and ear. One of her hand reached up to touch her ear, feeling it heat up from reasons unknown.

Her eyes widened and she blushed even more at his words, and why was she suddenly feeling so hot? If anything, she probably looked as red as a tomato now. Give the young girl a few moments to digest his words, to calm herself down and get her mouth to work again.]

Thank you...? You are rather h-handsome yourself too, Lovino.

[Indeed, handsome enough to be a prince, though she was much too embarrassed to say it aloud. She gave him a shy smile, suddenly bashful.]

I love your smiles. You should smile more.

[ It was only at her thanks and compliment back that it was enough to have Lovino blushing quite darkly as well, green eyes a bit wide in surprise before he cleared his throat and looked away almost shyly. He could be the most honest and compliment girls, he himself always got so easily embarrassed by compliments, no matter who ended up giving him one.

It just happened that now was one of those times when it kicked in more than ever and there was no way to hide it at all whatsoever. Something only amplified when she continued on, feeling now like his cheeks were going to burn off with how hot they felt. ]

I... G-Grazie.. I... w-would but smiling d-doesn't happen a lot w-when you're a pirate a-and you'd be the first one to ever like mine a-anyway...

[If there was one trait they shared, it was probably the one where they gave out praises and compliments, but rarely got them in return. Or if they did, they both end up flushing and either giving thanks, like Lili, or the other extreme like Lovino.

It was almost an awkward situation now, and Lovino's words drew another giggle from her. Her fear was gone, and she felt that perhaps, she could be good friends with Lovino, and she inwardly promised herself to help find news of his brother.]

Ah... Ja, you are quite right in that. [She paused for a moment, choosing her words carefully.] If... If we see each other again one day, after this is over... Will you s-smile at me?

[ Nodding softly, it had to be her question that took him a bit off-guard more than anything. Lovino glanced up to her wordlessly and after a moment offered a nod of his head, still unable to stop himself from blushing as hard as he was at this point in time. ]

S-Si. Y-You're probably about the only one I would do that for.

[Lili smiled a little wider as he shifted forward, holding her pinky finger up in a hook.]

Promise?

[It's almost embarrassing and childish, but this was the one way her brother had taught her.]

[ He blinks a few times in genuine surprise before he slowly raised a hand up in a gesture that mirrored hers as he gently hooked her pinky with his own. ]

I promise. I don't know how much merit my word has compared to some but... I do keep my promises so I won't forget this one.

[Again Lili giggled, doing a little pinky shake with him, pleased to get such a response from Lovino.]

I shall hold you to your promise then, nonetheless.

[ At this he then nods and smiles gently. He'd never really done this before and yet it was enough to make him strangely happy. ]

[Lili slowly fell quiet, reluctantly releasing her hold on Lovino's finger. It looked like that all she had to do was to wait for the ransom money from her brother, as saddening as it was.]
